Yemeni Minister of Public Health and Population Qassem Buhaibeh announced on Thursday that five individuals were killed and 16 others sustained injuries following an attack on the Ma'ashiq Presidential Palace in the interim capital of Aden.

The minister stated that the casualties included members of the security detail and civilian employees stationed at the government complex. The assault, which involved a combination of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, mirroring the December 2020 attack on Aden International Airport that targeted government officials.

Minister Buhaibeh attributed the aggression to the Houthi militia, characterizing the strike as a deliberate attempt to destabilize the internationally recognized government. He emphasized that the government remains resolute in its commitment to serving the public despite the security challenges posed by the militant group.

Prime Minister Shayea Al-Zindani has affirmed that the cabinet will continue to operate and fulfill its national responsibilities from the capital. The administration remains steadfast in its mandate, signaling that such attacks will not deter the government from its administrative and operational duties.

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has released a comprehensive casualty report detailing the human toll of a series of attacks conducted by Houthi militias against several Saudi Arabian airports between October 5 and October 11.

According to the official data, the incidents resulted in a total of 19 fatalities and 364 injuries across facilities in Jazan, Abha, and Riyadh. The attacks specifically targeted the Jazan Airport, Abha International Airport, and King Khalid International Airport in the capital.

The reported timeline of casualties began on October 5 with three injuries at Jazan Airport. On October 6, an attack at Abha International Airport resulted in two deaths and 28 injuries. Subsequent strikes at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh accounted for the majority of the casualties, with one death and eight injuries recorded on October 7, and three deaths and five injuries on October 8.

The severity of the strikes escalated toward the end of the specified period. On October 10, officials reported 12 fatalities and 309 injuries at King Khalid International Airport. The final incident recorded on October 11 at the same facility resulted in one additional death and 11 injuries.

The Coalition’s summary underscores the ongoing security challenges posed by the Houthi militia’s offensive operations against civilian infrastructure. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as investigations into the specific methodology of these attacks proceed.

Yemeni Armed Forces, supported by local residents, have engaged in the most severe military confrontations seen in years against Houthi militia across the eastern and western fronts of Taiz.

Field sources reported that the fighting, which commenced on Wednesday evening, has been concentrated in strategic locations including Jabal Han, the 30th Street, the Old Airport, and the Al-Dumaynah region. Additionally, significant clashes were reported on the Al-Kuraifat front in the eastern part of the city, marking a level of military escalation not witnessed in the region for an extended period.

The combat zones experienced the intensive use of various heavy and medium weaponry, accompanied by sustained artillery exchanges between the opposing sides. This intensification of hostilities underscores the heightened military tension currently prevailing in the governorate.

Concurrently with the ground engagements, Houthi forces launched heavy artillery barrages targeting densely populated residential neighborhoods, specifically in the Old Airport, 30th Street, and Bir Basha districts. These attacks have prompted significant concerns regarding the safety and security of civilians residing in these areas throughout the night.

The Yemen Gas Company office in Taiz Governorate has reported that Houthi forces are actively obstructing the delivery of domestic gas supplies to the city, warning that the blockade is significantly intensifying the humanitarian and economic suffering of the local population.

In an official statement released Tuesday, the company condemned the restrictions, emphasizing that the deliberate denial of essential fuel supplies imposes severe burdens on residents already struggling under the long-standing siege. The company characterized the withholding of domestic gas—a fundamental necessity for daily survival—as a form of collective punishment that violates basic human rights and dignity.

The report highlights that the obstruction of these supplies is part of a broader pattern of using civilian necessities as leverage in the ongoing conflict. The local authorities have called for the immediate removal of all barriers preventing the safe and regular distribution of gas, urging international human rights organizations and relevant stakeholders to intervene and exert pressure to resolve the supply chain crisis.

The statement further stressed that the provision of essential resources is a humanitarian imperative that should remain separate from political and military maneuvering. The company underscored that the systematic deprivation of these goods is unacceptable and must be addressed to prevent further deterioration of living conditions for the city's inhabitants.

In recent weeks, Houthi forces have tightened their blockade on Taiz, restricting access to vital commodities while simultaneously escalating military operations across various fronts in the governorate. These actions have further strained the humanitarian situation in the city, which has endured a restrictive siege for nearly 12 years.

Government forces have reportedly advanced toward the strategic Mas military camp west of Marib, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict across the province. The move, which follows intensified clashes in the Madghal, Raghwan, and Al-Juba fronts, underscores the camp's critical role as a vital junction connecting Marib with Sanaa and Al-Jawf.

Military sources indicated that government forces have secured several high-ground positions in the vicinity of the camp within the Madghal district. While these tactical gains suggest a shift in the local balance of power, the status of the camp itself remains fluid, and independent verification of its total control has not yet been established. The ongoing operations are part of a broader military campaign, reportedly launched in early October, aimed at challenging Houthi militia positions across multiple axes.

Located approximately 55 kilometers from Marib city, Mas Camp serves as a pivotal nexus for regional logistics and supply lines. Its geographical importance lies in its ability to influence the movement of forces between the northern and western provinces. Controlling the surrounding terrain is essential for both sides to maintain secure communication lines and sustain military pressure in the northwestern sector of the province.

The strategic value of the Marib front extends beyond immediate tactical maneuvers, as the region remains a critical economic hub housing significant oil and gas infrastructure. The current escalation reflects a wider pattern of conflict across Yemen, with active hostilities reported in Taiz and Al-Jawf as well. As the situation evolves, the impact on local infrastructure and civilian movement remains a primary concern, though the full extent of the humanitarian consequences will depend on the duration and intensity of the fighting.

Analysts note that while the reported advances represent a notable development, the ultimate outcome of the battle for Mas Camp remains uncertain. Military observers emphasize that sustainable control over such strategic sites requires not only initial capture but also the ability to fortify positions against counter-offensives. For now, the theater of operations in western Marib remains a focal point of the conflict, with further developments expected as both sides continue to maneuver for territorial advantage.

Taiz governorate has witnessed a rapid escalation in hostilities on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, as government forces engaged in fierce battles to repel infiltration attempts by Houthi militias across the western and southern sectors of the city.

Field reports indicate that the fighting is concentrated along several critical axes, primarily at the city's western entrance and in the rural districts to the south and east. Violent confrontations are ongoing in the Al-Dhabab area, specifically surrounding Mount Han, Al-Sayahi, and Mount Hadhran, which overlook the strategic road connecting the western part of the city. Military sources confirmed that government forces successfully pushed back militia elements from the Al-Maqahaya region and currently maintain control over the high ground overlooking the Al-Hangar checkpoint.

In addition to the western front, intense artillery exchanges and direct combat have been reported in the Al-Shaqab and Al-Aqroud sectors, situated to the southeast of Taiz. To the south, government forces successfully compelled Houthi units to withdraw from the Al-Sarari region following a series of sharp engagements.

Addressing circulating rumors regarding the status of the Al-Hangar checkpoint, government officials explicitly denied claims that the militia has seized the site. Military sources clarified that the area remains a fluid combat zone characterized by constant tactical maneuvering, with government troops stationed on adjacent ridges to secure the vital artery and prevent any potential incursions.

The clashes have resulted in significant casualties among the Houthi ranks. Among the notable losses is the death of senior Houthi commander Abdullah bin Yahya al-Fariq. A prominent figure within the militia, al-Fariq had previously led combat operations across several fronts, including Nihm, Al-Bayda, and Al-Makha, before his recent deployment to command units in the Taiz sector, where he was killed during the fighting.

The Giants Brigades, supported by Al-Subaiha tribal fighters, successfully repelled a significant offensive and encirclement attempt by Houthi militia forces in the northwestern frontlines of Lahj Governorate on Tuesday.

Field sources reported that heavy clashes erupted in the Al-Aghbarah, Al-Mansoura, and Al-Mahawala sectors, situated approximately 30 miles east of the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The Houthi militia launched the assault using extensive military reinforcements, intense artillery bombardment, and dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles, attempting to breach government-held lines from the strategic Hawab and Naman mountains.

The Houthi maneuver included infiltration attempts toward the Al-Ruweis and Malbiya areas within the Al-Madaribah and Ras Al-Ara district. According to military analysts, the militia’s objective was to execute a flanking maneuver to bypass government forces advancing toward Bab al-Mandab and Dhubab, intending to encircle positions held by the Giants Brigades and the Dera al-Watan forces. Defensive units successfully halted the advance, though some units executed tactical withdrawals to avoid entrapment and minimize personnel casualties.

In a related engagement, Al-Subaiha tribal fighters neutralized three Houthi militants in an ambush near the Al-Mansoura pass, seizing a military vehicle and heavy weaponry. Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation has deteriorated significantly as Houthi ballistic missile and artillery strikes targeted civilian infrastructure, including the Ahmed bin Hanbal school in Al-Madaribah and Ras Al-Ara. A missile also struck the Al-Ka'lala area, though it failed to detonate.

The sustained aerial and artillery bombardment has triggered a mass exodus of thousands of families from the villages of Al-Ruweis, Malbiya, Al-Aghbarah, Al-Ka'lala, Al-Mahawala, and Al-Arkama. Human rights monitors report that displaced families are facing dire conditions, with many forced to seek shelter under trees, lacking basic necessities and adequate housing.

In response to the escalation, three airstrikes targeted Houthi military positions and reinforcements in the Malbiya area. Field commanders have emphasized the urgent need for additional military support, including modern artillery, anti-tank guided missiles, and consistent air cover, to maintain defensive lines and prevent further Houthi incursions toward the strategic maritime corridors overlooking the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, Vice President of the General People's Congress, has issued a formal address to the Yemeni people on the 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, emphasizing the urgent need for national unity and the consolidation of military forces to restore the state and preserve national sovereignty.

In his statement, Saleh honored the sacrifices of the revolutionaries who paved the way for Yemen’s independence and dignity. He noted that the anniversary serves as a critical juncture for self-reflection and corrective action, urging political and military factions to transcend narrow interests. He argued that the restoration of the state is unattainable under current conditions of fragmentation, asserting that a unified national command is essential to confront the Houthi movement.

Saleh stressed that the establishment of a professional, disciplined national army loyal to the Republic is a non-negotiable priority. He called for a courageous assessment of recent setbacks on the front lines, advocating for improved strategic planning, competent leadership, and a unified decision-making process. He warned that relying on slogans rather than effective governance and military cohesion would only prolong the conflict and exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Addressing internal challenges, Saleh cautioned against regionalist and separatist rhetoric, which he claimed only benefits adversarial forces by weakening the domestic front. He advocated for addressing grievances through justice, partnership, and the rule of law rather than exclusion. Furthermore, he urged political and military leaders to abandon partisan quotas and personal loyalties in favor of a collective commitment to restoring state institutions.

The statement also highlighted the importance of regional cooperation, specifically with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and neighboring nations, to address shared security threats. Saleh concluded by affirming that the true legacy of the October 14 Revolution lies in the pursuit of a free, sovereign, and unified Yemen, urging all factions to prioritize the national interest as they work toward ending the current crisis.

Field sources confirmed that the operation to retake the elevation resulted in the neutralization of all Houthi militants occupying the position. While the military successfully reclaimed the territory, official reports have yet to disclose the extent of casualties sustained by government forces during the engagement.

In a parallel development, the national air force conducted nine targeted airstrikes against Houthi positions and gatherings across several fronts in Taiz. These operations are part of an ongoing military campaign aimed at degrading the militia's operational capabilities in the region.

According to field reports, five of the airstrikes were directed at Houthi positions on the Al-Dhabab front, located west of Taiz city. An additional four strikes targeted militia strongholds in the Al-Masrakh district. Authorities have not yet released specific data regarding the total human or material losses resulting from the aerial bombardment.

At least 40 individuals from the Jibla district in Ibb governorate have been killed while fighting for Houthi militia forces between mid-September and early October, according to local sources.

The casualties primarily consist of students and young men who were allegedly coerced or misled into joining the conflict. Reports indicate that the militia held funeral processions for several of the deceased two days ago, though the group reportedly avoids conducting mass burials to obscure the true scale of their losses and prevent public backlash from grieving families and the local community.

Families of the missing have repeatedly demanded information regarding the status of their children, as many have lost contact with them for weeks. In response, Houthi officials have consistently claimed that the missing individuals remain active on the frontlines, despite contrary reports emerging from within the militia’s ranks.

Sources familiar with the situation stated that some combatants have informed families that their relatives were killed in active fighting. Nevertheless, the militia continues to conceal the recovery of bodies, effectively misleading parents by insisting that their children remain alive in combat zones.

The lack of transparency has fueled growing anxiety among local families, who are now intensifying their calls for the militia to disclose the whereabouts and fate of their missing relatives. This pattern of obfuscation highlights the ongoing impact of the recruitment of youth into the Yemeni conflict.

Humanitarian activist Darrar Al-Qudsi has provided a detailed account of the fall of several areas in the Al-Hujaria region of Taiz province to Houthi militias, citing a total collapse of command structures, widespread withdrawals, and the abandonment of significant weapon caches.

In a series of video testimonies, Al-Qudsi described his attempts to reach the front lines to support resistance fighters, only to find that key areas had been surrendered without a fight. He reported that despite the presence of numerous resistance fighters and ample armaments—sufficient to equip thousands of combatants—the absence of effective leadership and organized coordination allowed the militia to advance rapidly through strategic zones such as Al-Safiya, Al-Nashma, and Al-Samsera.

Al-Qudsi detailed a chaotic scene where military assets were left vulnerable. He recounted witnessing an overturned military transport vehicle loaded with weapons, which became a focal point of internal disputes among soldiers regarding ownership. He noted that while local residents attempted to secure weapons to defend their homes, the lack of a centralized military authority meant that these critical resources were either abandoned or left unutilized while Houthi forces closed in on residential neighborhoods.

The activist highlighted the tragic consequences of this disarray, specifically mentioning the death of commander Jamil Aqlan and three of his sons. Al-Qudsi contrasted the current leadership vacuum with the legacy of the late commander Adnan Al-Hammadi, arguing that the loss of the territory was a direct result of betrayal, negligence, and the preoccupation of local leaders with personal interests rather than the defense of the region.

Following the militia's consolidation of control, Al-Qudsi described enduring seven days of extreme hardship, hiding in basements and mountainous areas to evade capture. His account reflects the broader suffering of the civilian population, many of whom were forced to flee their homes or remain in constant fear as the region fell under Houthi occupation.

The testimony serves as a stark critique of the management of the conflict in Al-Hujaria. By documenting the logistical failures and the abandonment of defense positions, Al-Qudsi’s account underscores the critical role that unified command and strategic preparedness play in maintaining territorial integrity, and the devastating cost borne by local residents when these pillars of defense fail.

A young girl sustained injuries on Monday following an artillery strike launched by Houthi militia forces on a residential neighborhood in the center of Taiz, Yemen, marking the latest in a series of attacks on densely populated areas in the besieged governorate.

Human rights sources reported that mortar shells fired by the Houthi militia struck civilian homes in the Al-Dahi neighborhood. One projectile reportedly breached the wall of a residence, causing significant damage to the property’s water infrastructure before detonating. The incident is part of a broader military escalation in Taiz that has persisted since August, resulting in numerous civilian casualties, including women and children.

This attack follows a violent incident on October 9 in the Al-Shaqab area of Sabr Al-Mawadim district, southeast of Taiz. A mortar shell strike claimed the lives of 12-year-old Mohammed Abdullah Abdo Muqbil and a woman identified as Dhikrayat Abdulwahid Ahmed Yahya. Six other civilians sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe and were transported to local hospitals for emergency medical care.

The humanitarian toll in the region continues to climb, with recent fatalities including nine-year-old Elias Nabil Naji Al-Barakani, who succumbed to injuries on September 27 following a mortar attack on his home in the village of Al-Zariba. These documented cases represent only a portion of the ongoing violence, as rights organizations report frequent incidents of home demolitions and extrajudicial executions targeting individuals perceived as opposing the militia.

The persistent shelling by the Houthi militia continues to pose a grave threat to the safety of non-combatants in Taiz. The city, which has endured a protracted Houthi-imposed blockade for several years, remains a focal point for military aggression that disproportionately affects the most vulnerable segments of the population.

Local authorities in Yemen’s Al-Bayda governorate, currently under Houthi control, have issued directives requiring the systematic collection of detailed personal and financial data regarding expatriates and their assets.

The instructions, reportedly issued by the Houthi-appointed governor, Abdullah Idris, mandate that neighborhood leaders gather comprehensive information on expatriates residing within their jurisdictions. The required data includes property ownership status, family demographics, sources of income, living standards, and the frequency and duration of visits to Yemen. Furthermore, the authorities are seeking an inventory of the expatriates' vehicles, commercial interests, and any other revenue streams.

These measures have sparked widespread concern among residents and observers, who fear the data collection is a precursor to the imposition of arbitrary financial levies or the targeted intimidation of expatriate families. There is growing apprehension that this information could be leveraged by the Houthi administration to exert further pressure on individuals and their livelihoods.

Analysts have warned that such actions could severely destabilize the precarious economic conditions of families who rely heavily on remittances from abroad. These transfers serve as a critical lifeline for thousands of households, providing essential support for basic needs, healthcare, and emergency expenses during the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

In response to the directive, activists have called for a reversal of these policies, arguing that they impose undue financial burdens on vulnerable populations. While local voices encourage expatriates to continue supporting their families, there is significant anxiety regarding the potential consequences of disclosing private financial information to the de facto authorities.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation has extended the suspension of operational activities at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh following a series of recent attacks, as the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration issued a formal warning regarding regional flight safety.

The Saudi aviation authority stated that the extension is necessary to complete comprehensive inspections of the facility to ensure the safety and operational readiness of the airport infrastructure. Officials have not yet provided a definitive timeline for the resumption of scheduled flights or standard ground operations.

In a concurrent development, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has advised American air carriers to exercise heightened caution when operating within or traversing Saudi airspace. The agency cited potential risks to aircraft at all altitudes, noting that the security environment could be volatile for civilian aviation.

The FAA notice, which remains in effect until December 10, warns that the risks extend to both arrival and departure phases, as well as en route transit. The agency highlighted specific concerns regarding military activity and the potential for interference with navigation systems, describing the current situation as potentially hazardous for U.S.-registered aircraft operators.

These precautionary measures follow two separate attacks on King Khalid International Airport over the weekend. According to Saudi authorities, the first incident resulted in 13 fatalities and over 300 injuries, while a subsequent attack on Sunday led to one death and 11 additional injuries.

The United Kingdom’s Foreign Office has issued a formal security advisory urging British citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to Jeddah and Dammam, as well as the majority of Saudi Arabian airports, citing heightened security risks.

In an official statement released by the British Embassy in Riyadh, the Foreign Office identified Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina as the only facility currently categorized as safe for travel. Officials have explicitly advised against utilizing King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh until further notice, a directive prompted by serious security incidents reported at the site on October 10.

These precautionary measures follow a series of attacks targeting critical infrastructure within the Kingdom, including King Khalid International Airport, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and various facilities operated by the state oil company, Aramco. According to Saudi authorities, these incidents, which involved missile strikes, have resulted in multiple casualties and varying degrees of injury.

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has formally attributed responsibility for these assaults to the Houthi movement, characterizing the attacks as war crimes that violate international humanitarian law. Coalition leadership has affirmed its commitment to responding decisively to these violations in accordance with international legal standards and customary rules of engagement.

The current security climate coincides with an intensification of hostilities in Yemen between the internationally recognized government, supported by the coalition, and Houthi forces. The resulting regional instability has prompted several nations to reevaluate and update travel advisories for citizens currently residing in or planning to visit the Kingdom.

The coalition of tribes stated that the mobilization aims to restore state institutions and reclaim territories currently held by Houthi forces. Representatives emphasized their commitment to providing both human and material resources to support military efforts, while calling upon other Yemeni tribes to unify their ranks against the Houthi movement.

In addition to their military support, the tribal leaders issued an urgent appeal to the Yemeni government and political leadership. They demanded increased financial and military aid for the front lines in Taiz, citing a perceived lack of support from both the state and the international coalition. The tribes underscored the necessity of providing arms and equipment to break the siege on the governorate and complete its liberation.

Furthermore, the tribal leadership formally condemned recent Houthi attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and facilities. The statement specifically denounced strikes against civilian sites in Yemen and Saudi Arabia, including the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has confirmed that more than 225 migrants are dead or missing after their boat capsized while attempting a perilous journey from Djibouti to Yemen, marking one of the deadliest maritime disasters on this route this year.

According to the IOM, the tragedy occurred between October 8 and 9 near Godhayre, north of Obock. Survivors reported that the vessel sank, resulting in 109 confirmed deaths, including 15 children. Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 52 men, 42 women, and 15 children, while more than 116 individuals remain missing. Over 80 survivors, all of whom are Ethiopian nationals, have been rescued and are currently receiving medical care and support from local authorities and the IOM.

Alexandre Kuisak, head of the IOM mission in Djibouti, described the event as a devastating loss of life. He emphasized that the organization is working closely with local authorities to provide emergency assistance, including healthcare, psychosocial support, and shelter for survivors. This incident underscores the extreme dangers faced by migrants who traverse the Eastern Route in search of economic opportunities and safety, often driven by poverty, climate change, and regional instability.

The IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix noted that more than 20,000 migrants from Ethiopia have arrived in Djibouti since September 10, indicating a persistent flow of migration despite the severe risks. The organization warned that the dangers extend well beyond the maritime crossing, as those who reach Yemen often face exploitation, human trafficking, arbitrary detention, and violence.

This tragedy follows a series of similar incidents along the Eastern Route, which serves as a major transit corridor for tens of thousands of migrants from the Horn of Africa heading toward the Gulf states. According to the IOM’s Missing Migrants Project, more than 900 migrants have died or gone missing along this route in 2025, highlighting an urgent need for enhanced safety measures and regional cooperation to address the migration crisis.

The Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population has issued an urgent warning regarding the potential collapse of essential medical services in Taiz, citing critical shortages of medicine, medical supplies, and fuel caused by the ongoing siege imposed by Houthi militias.

In an official statement, the ministry reported that the persistent blockade is severely hindering the delivery of vital supplies, placing emergency departments, surgical units, intensive care wards, dialysis centers, and neonatal incubators at risk of total closure. These disruptions pose an immediate threat to the lives of patients, the wounded, pregnant women, and newborns.

The ministry further cautioned that the exhaustion of fuel reserves threatens to paralyze power generators and ambulance fleets. Additionally, the lack of electricity jeopardizes the cold chain infrastructure necessary for preserving life-saving vaccines and medications, increasing the likelihood of preventable health complications and fatalities.

Holding the Iranian-backed Houthi militia fully responsible for the humanitarian crisis, the ministry demanded the immediate lifting of the siege. Officials called for the opening of supply routes and the guarantee of safe passage for medical personnel, humanitarian aid, ambulances, and patients requiring urgent care.

The government has appealed to the United Nations and international humanitarian partners to intervene immediately to secure oxygen, medical supplies, and fuel for health facilities in Taiz. Emphasizing that the protection of medical infrastructure is a non-negotiable obligation, the ministry warned that any further delay in the international response will inevitably lead to the cessation of critical services and the loss of additional lives.

According to the authority, the deceased included four Saudi nationals and eight foreign residents, specifically citizens from Bangladesh, the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. The injured, whose conditions range from moderate to critical, are currently receiving medical treatment at various hospitals throughout the capital.

In response to the security breach, the authority suspended all operational activities at the airport on Saturday as a precautionary measure. The incident occurs amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing concerns regarding frequent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s critical infrastructure and civilian facilities, which are widely attributed to Houthi forces utilizing ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

International reactions have been swift, with former U.S. President Donald Trump indicating that Washington is evaluating potential responses to the Houthi-led offensive. He confirmed that the United States is closely monitoring the situation on the ground and will determine an appropriate course of action following a comprehensive assessment of the security developments.

Media outlets affiliated with the group released the names of the deceased, who hail from various Yemeni governorates. Among those identified was Captain Sultan Jamil al-Harazi. The official reports provided no details concerning the timeline or the combat zones where these individuals were killed, maintaining a policy of opacity regarding their military losses.

According to the published list, eight of the deceased originated from Hajjah Governorate: Issa Mohammed Hafeez, Abdullah Muqbil Jarbouh, Hizam Ali Abu Bar'ah, Younis Ahmed Abu Bar'ah, Haroun Abdullah Abu Bar'ah, Amin Yahya al-Salahi, Musa Ali al-Hajri, and Abdulmajeed Abdulhafeez al-Mahla.

The list further included two individuals from Dhamar Governorate, identified as Rashad Ali Murshid al-Badawi and Walid Naji Muslih al-Faqih. Additionally, the casualties included Mohammed Ahmed Abdulqader al-Aksha from Hodeidah, Ahmed Taha Mohammed Sagheer from al-Bayda, and Captain Sultan Jamil al-Harazi from the capital, Sana'a.

The militia has consistently refrained from disclosing the specific locations or strategic contexts in which its members are killed, confining its public statements to the mere announcement of funeral rites and the publication of names.

For the second consecutive week, Houthi militants have prevented worshippers from performing Friday prayers at a mosque in the Huth district of Amran province, triggering widespread public defiance against the group’s restrictive measures.

Local sources reported that Abdul Majeed al-Sharabi, the Houthi-appointed director of endowments in Huth, enforced the closure of the Al-Haj Ali Jarash Mosque. The militia attempted to mandate that residents relocate their prayers to a separate mosque under Houthi control, but the local community rejected these directives.

In a display of civil resistance, many residents chose to perform their Friday prayers in the street adjacent to the shuttered mosque. This act of defiance underscores a growing trend of societal pushback against Houthi efforts to exert absolute control over religious institutions and public life in the region.

The incident has sparked significant outrage among local inhabitants, who remain steadfast in their demand to worship in their own community mosque. Residents have characterized the Houthi interference as an unacceptable violation of their religious rights and an attempt to forcibly impose the group’s ideological agenda.

This development occurs against a backdrop of escalating tensions in Amran, where increasing public opposition to Houthi rule is being met with intensified suppression and administrative overreach by the militia. The ongoing dispute highlights the volatile relationship between the governing Houthi authorities and the local populations under their jurisdiction.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has issued a dire warning regarding the escalating humanitarian crisis in Yemen, reporting that more than one-third of children screened by the organization are suffering from acute malnutrition amidst ongoing conflict, widespread displacement, and the rapid spread of preventable diseases.

During a press briefing in Geneva, UNICEF spokesperson Ricardo Pires announced that medical assessments conducted by mobile teams across eight Yemeni governorates revealed alarming rates of malnutrition among children, as well as hundreds of cases involving pregnant and nursing women. This nutritional crisis is further compounded by a deteriorating public health landscape, where cholera cases have tripled within a three-week period, alongside rising incidences of dengue fever and malaria.

The humanitarian situation has been exacerbated by military escalation in southwestern Yemen, which has displaced more than 200,000 individuals across ten governorates since September. Pires highlighted the severe toll of the violence on the civilian population, noting that children have been among those killed, wounded, or reported missing. Many families forced to flee their homes now face acute shortages of food, clean water, and shelter.

Infrastructure damage and supply chain disruptions have severely restricted access to essential services. The closure of key transportation routes, combined with critical shortages of fuel and cooking gas, has led to empty markets and hindered the delivery of humanitarian aid, particularly in the city of Taiz. These logistical obstacles have made it increasingly difficult for aid organizations to reach the most vulnerable populations.

Despite these significant operational challenges, UNICEF continues to provide medical consultations, respiratory and diarrheal disease treatments, and immunization programs to those in need. The organization has reiterated its call for an immediate cessation of violence and the facilitation of unhindered humanitarian access, emphasizing that the protection of children must remain a primary concern in the face of the country's persistent instability.

In a statement released via the social media platform X, the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office characterized the violence perpetrated by the Houthi militia as a clear manifestation of their disregard for the safety and welfare of the Yemeni population. The ministry emphasized that such aggressive actions serve only to undermine humanitarian efforts and exacerbate the suffering of civilians on the ground.

London underscored its commitment to regional stability, asserting that the Houthi escalation poses a significant risk to the security of both Yemen and the broader Middle East. By aligning itself with the legitimate government of Yemen and the Saudi authorities, the United Kingdom reiterated its rejection of military tactics that threaten to derail potential peace initiatives.

This diplomatic stance coincides with reports of continued instability across several Yemeni provinces. Recent incidents include civilian casualties resulting from landmines in Hodeidah, shelling in Taiz, and failed missile launches in Ibb, all of which underscore the volatile security environment currently facing the region.

According to human rights sources, the victims were identified as 14-year-old Mohammed Abdullah Abdo Muqbel and 35-year-old Thikrayat Abdulwahid Ahmed Yahya. The attack, which took place on Friday, caused significant casualties among the local population, further exacerbating the humanitarian toll in the region.

The six injured civilians sustained varying degrees of wounds and were treated following the incident. Local reports indicate that the shelling of populated areas remains a frequent occurrence, consistently claiming the lives of non-combatants, particularly women and children.

This attack is part of a broader pattern of violence in Taiz, where ongoing hostilities continue to threaten the safety of residents. Despite international calls for de-escalation, the continued targeting of civilian infrastructure underscores the persistent security challenges facing the province.

Government forces, supported by popular resistance units, successfully repelled two separate Houthi offensives on the northern and western fronts of Taiz on Friday.

The Media Center for the Taiz Axis reported that the defensive operations effectively neutralized the militant incursions, maintaining the security of government-held positions in the contested city. The clashes reflect the ongoing instability and the persistent attempts by Houthi forces to breach established frontlines.

In a separate tactical engagement, government forces executed a precision ambush on the Al-Aqroud front, located south of Taiz. The operation targeted a group of Houthi militants attempting a clandestine infiltration, resulting in several casualties among the insurgent ranks.

These developments underscore the volatile security environment in Taiz, where residents continue to face the humanitarian consequences of a prolonged blockade and intermittent military escalations. The region remains a critical focal point in the broader Yemeni conflict, characterized by frequent skirmishes and strategic territorial maneuvering.

The Giants Brigades and the Nation Shield forces announced on Friday that they have secured full control over the Bab al-Mandab Strait and Mayun Island following a large-scale military operation supported by the Arab Coalition air force.

A military source confirmed that the operation, which commenced at dawn, resulted in the liberation of the Al-Ardi military camp and the seizure of coastal guard observation posts. Furthermore, the forces successfully regained control of the mountain ranges overlooking the strait, which serve as a critical vantage point for safeguarding international maritime traffic.

The operation also led to the complete expulsion of Houthi forces from Mayun Island. The military command emphasized that the strait, the island, and all surrounding strategic sites are now entirely removed from the influence of the Houthi militia.

According to the source, the offensive was launched following the expiration of an ultimatum issued to Houthi elements who had been besieged in the area for several days. This maneuver is part of a broader tactical effort to reclaim vital installations and ensure the security of the strategically essential waterway.

The participating forces, backed by intensive aerial support from the Arab Coalition, have successfully fortified the reclaimed positions, including the high-altitude terrain and surveillance points that oversee the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Taiz Governorate is facing an escalating humanitarian catastrophe as Houthi militias engage in systematic shelling of residential neighborhoods and critical civilian infrastructure. This surge in military aggression follows the Yemeni government’s announcement of the "Dawn of Yemen" offensive, prompting retaliatory attacks that have resulted in significant civilian casualties and the tightening of a blockade that continues to isolate millions of residents from the outside world.

Recent field reports from human rights organizations have documented a series of grave violations committed by the militia over the past three days. On October 6 alone, mortar and missile strikes in densely populated areas resulted in 14 deaths and 38 injuries. The violence has caused extensive damage to residential properties and essential service facilities across the city, as well as the districts of Sabir Al-Mawadim, Al-Ma'afir, Al-Silw, and Hayfan. Consequently, the region has recorded the highest rates of internal displacement in the country, with hundreds of families fleeing their homes in the southern and western countryside to seek refuge in the city center or primitive camps lacking basic necessities.

As the militia suffers setbacks on various fronts—including Al-Arba'een, Al-Aqroud, Hayfan, and Al-Anayn—it has increasingly targeted the civilian population to compensate for its tactical losses. In Hayfan and Al-Silw, Houthi elements have forcibly evicted residents at gunpoint, repurposing civilian homes into military barracks and sniper positions. These actions have effectively transformed non-combatants into human shields, further endangering those trapped within the conflict zones.

The aggression extended into October 7, when the militia utilized artillery and explosive-laden drones to strike villages in the Quds sub-district of Al-Ma'afir and the Al-Ahkoum front. These attacks forced the displacement of 18 families and caused partial destruction to several homes. Simultaneously, the militia has maintained a strict collective punishment policy by paralyzing movement at the Hanger crossing, the primary western artery for the city. By targeting the crossing with heavy machine guns and artillery, the militia has successfully obstructed the transit of civilians, humanitarian aid, and essential medical and food supplies.

The wave of repression continued on October 8, following further losses in the Al-Silw district. Houthi forces conducted widespread raids, detaining a local official alongside several activists and civilians, and forcibly transferring them to undisclosed locations. Reports also indicate the ongoing use of Katyusha rockets against the Al-Dhabab and Hayfan areas, where strikes have incinerated private property and civilian transport vehicles. By cutting off internal supply routes between Al-Turbah and the city center, the militia continues to methodically dismantle the remaining foundations of civilian life in Taiz.

Field sources confirmed that the operations took place late Wednesday. The first trench was established on the eastern side of the highway, directly opposite the village of Al-Khadra. The second trench was positioned on the western side of the route, facing the village of Al-Kadaha.

Military observers indicate that these defensive fortifications are part of a broader tactical maneuver by the militia to restrict the movement of government-aligned forces. By creating these physical barriers, the Houthis aim to stall the progress of the advancing units and prevent them from reaching critical positions near the strategic port city of Al-Mokha.

A wave of intensive airstrikes targeted Houthi military installations and strategic facilities across several Yemeni governorates on Thursday, marking a significant escalation in ongoing regional military operations.

According to local sources, the aerial campaign spanned the governorates of Saada, Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, Sanaa, Ibb, Raymah, Al-Bayda, Abyan, and Hodeidah. In Hodeidah, strikes hit the international airport and nearby barracks, while in Ibb, operations targeted the 55th Armored Brigade headquarters in Yarim, a site reportedly utilized by Houthi forces for ballistic missile deployments. Additionally, communication infrastructure was reportedly struck in the Al-Sayyani district of Ibb and the Kusmah district of Raymah.

The strikes further extended to telecommunications networks in the Bani Matar district of Sanaa and various military sites in Al-Bayda. In the latter, reports indicate that weapons depots and positions in the Jamil, Jarjara, and Al-Nasreen mountains, as well as Jabal Al-Adhimiyah and areas in Mukayras, were successfully hit. Operations in Saada focused on the Dhahir, Safra, and Al-Salem regions, which have been subject to sustained military activity.

Military operations also persisted in the governorates of Marib and Al-Jawf, alongside active fronts in Taiz. In these areas, the strikes targeted Houthi military concentrations, supply routes, and armored assets. The intensification of these operations underscores a broader strategic effort to degrade the group's operational capabilities across multiple fronts simultaneously.

While the scale of the aerial campaign represents a notable expansion in military activity, a consolidated report regarding human or material casualties remains unavailable. Authorities and local observers continue to monitor the situation as the impact of the strikes on Houthi infrastructure is assessed.

A ten-year-old child was killed on Monday when a landmine planted by Houthi militants detonated in an agricultural field in the Al-Jarai district, located in the southern region of Hodeidah, Yemen.

Local sources identified the victim as Baker Salem Dawood Aidaroos. The incident occurred in the village of Al-Jar while the boy was tending to livestock. The explosion was reported to be of such intensity that the victim died instantly, with his remains severely mutilated by the blast.

The village of Al-Jar, situated in the southeastern part of the Al-Jarai district and bordering the Dubas mountains, has been heavily impacted by the ongoing conflict. According to reports, the Houthi militia systematically planted landmines and excavated extensive tunnel networks throughout the area in anticipation of potential advances by government forces.

This tragedy highlights the persistent threat posed by explosive remnants of war to civilians in Yemen. Despite repeated international calls for demining efforts, landmines continue to claim lives in rural communities, particularly among children and agricultural workers in regions formerly or currently contested by Houthi forces.

Yemeni government forces announced on Wednesday that they have established full control over the strategic Kahboub front near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, marking a significant advancement in the ongoing military operation dubbed "Dawn of Yemen."

The operation, led by the Dera al-Watan forces in coordination with the Giants Brigades and Joint Forces, successfully cleared the remaining pockets of Houthi militia presence in the mountainous regions of Lahj Governorate. Official media channels released footage documenting the progression of government troops as they consolidated their positions in the area.

Tribal sources confirmed that the joint military units, supported by local Al-Subaiha tribesmen, reclaimed the mountainous border area of Barh al-Masrakh. This territory serves as a critical junction between the Al-Alma district in Taiz and the Al-Madaribah and Ras al-Ara districts in Lahj, further strengthening the government's defensive perimeter.

On the Dhubab front, the Giants Brigades reported the seizure of Houthi military hardware that had been deployed during a failed offensive against government positions earlier this week. The tactical success was bolstered by precision airstrikes targeting Houthi concentration points, including the mountainous areas of Dhi Ahdah, al-Bazilah, and al-Mashjab in the Wazi'iyah district of western Taiz.

Additional aerial bombardments struck Houthi gathering sites in Wadi al-Maqam and the Al-Shaqira region of the Wazi'iyah district. These coordinated military efforts reflect a broader strategy by the Yemeni government to regain lost territory and diminish Houthi influence along the volatile Western Coast and the vital maritime corridor of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The International Organization for Migration has reported that more than 3,700 individuals have fled Yemen by sea to Djibouti in recent weeks, as persistent hostilities and a deteriorating humanitarian crisis compel civilians to seek safety elsewhere.

According to the organization, the majority of those undertaking the perilous sea voyage are women and children. The ongoing conflict has intensified, forcing an increasing number of non-combatants to abandon their homes in search of refuge from the escalating violence and the collapse of essential living conditions within conflict-affected regions.

The surge in maritime departures occurs as humanitarian needs for displaced populations and those remaining in conflict zones reach critical levels. Families continue to flee active combat areas, navigating high-risk routes in hopes of reaching more stable environments across the Gulf of Aden.

The migration trend from Yemen toward the Horn of Africa reflects the deepening instability within the country. Humanitarian agencies remain concerned, noting that families face severe hardships and significant physical risks during their transit, further highlighting the urgent need for sustained international support for those displaced by the protracted war.

The Aden Security Administration has condemned a missile attack on Aden International Airport that occurred early Wednesday morning, labeling the assault by Houthi militants a direct threat to critical civilian infrastructure and the safety of personnel and passengers.

According to an official statement, the facility was struck by two missiles. Initial reports confirm that there were no human casualties resulting from the attack. Security forces immediately launched an investigation and implemented heightened protective measures to secure the airport perimeter and ensure the continuity of its operations.

The administration emphasized that Aden International Airport serves as a vital artery for citizens across the country, providing essential access for patients, students, and travelers. Officials noted that targeting this facility constitutes a severe violation of civilian safety and directly disrupts civil aviation services that thousands of individuals rely upon daily.

In response to the security breach, the Aden Security Administration reaffirmed its commitment to protecting critical infrastructure and maintaining public safety. The agency has raised its security alert level to ensure the ongoing integrity of the airport's services in accordance with established law.

The administration concluded its statement by urging media outlets and social media users to exercise professional responsibility. Authorities requested that the public rely exclusively on official sources for information to avoid the spread of misinformation that could undermine public security or disrupt air navigation.

The recent surge in military hostilities along Yemen’s western coast has triggered a humanitarian crisis, displacing over 145,000 people since September and leaving thousands of pregnant women to endure childbirth in life-threatening conditions without access to essential medical services.

According to estimates from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), approximately 3,200 pregnant women are among the newly displaced population, with at least 600 requiring emergency obstetric care this month alone. Yemen continues to face one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the Arab world, with three preventable deaths occurring daily, while millions of women remain vulnerable to gender-based violence and a lack of basic protection.

Displaced women have reported harrowing experiences during their flight from conflict zones, with some forced to give birth on roadsides amidst active gunfire and without qualified medical assistance. Field reports confirm that the absence of adequate shelter, nutrition, and healthcare, compounded by the destruction of infrastructure and blocked access to facilities, leaves both mothers and newborns in critical danger.

Francesco Galtieri, the UNFPA Representative in Yemen, warned that hard-won progress in women’s health and dignity is rapidly eroding. He emphasized that reproductive health services and protection in humanitarian crises are not luxuries, but life-saving necessities. While the UNFPA is deploying community midwives and distributing emergency medical supplies, the organization’s efforts are severely hampered by a lack of resources.

The UNFPA is currently facing a critical funding shortfall, having secured only 20 percent of the $71 million required for its 2026 humanitarian response plan. The agency is urgently seeking $22.7 million to sustain its vital operations over the next three months and to expand assistance to the most severely affected regions, ensuring that life-saving care reaches the thousands of women and girls currently in desperate need.

Government forces launched a significant military operation in the Al-Wazi'iyah district, west of Taiz Governorate, on Tuesday as part of the broader "Dawn of Yemen" campaign, supported by ground units and coalition air strikes.

Field sources reported that the military push is directed toward the strategic Al-Barh junction. The offensive coincides with intensive aerial bombardment targeting Houthi militia strongholds and fortifications along the active front lines in Taiz, while fierce clashes persist within the Al-Wazi'iyah district.

According to field reports, the operation involves a coordinated three-pronged assault targeting Al-Wazi'iyah and Al-Mansoura. During the engagement, government forces reportedly destroyed a Houthi vehicle and successfully captured an armored vehicle from the militia.

Official sources have yet to provide a definitive assessment regarding the extent of the territory gained or confirm the total control of new positions within the district. Military operations remain ongoing as aerial sorties and heavy fighting continue to characterize the situation in Al-Wazi'iyah and its surrounding areas.

Units from the 1st Commando Brigade of the National Resistance, supported by the 4th Hazm Brigade, launched a surprise offensive on Monday against Houthi militant positions and fortifications across the Al-Qubaytah front in northern Lahj and Hayfan in southern Taiz.

Field sources confirmed that government-aligned forces achieved significant territorial gains, successfully capturing strategic positions including Mount Al-Manzara, Al-Asharif, and Dhiban. These locations provide crucial fire control over the Al-Khazja market within the Tur al-Bahah-Hayfan front. During the engagement, the advancing forces reportedly seized military vehicles, anti-aircraft weaponry, and artillery left behind by retreating Houthi militants.

The military operation, conducted under the banner of the "Dawn of Yemen" campaign, continues to push forward from the Al-Qubaytah fronts toward the Hayfan district and the Al-Aboos region in Taiz province. Commanders on the ground report that the momentum remains with the government forces as they seek to consolidate their control over the area.

In a tactical move to obstruct the progress of the advancing units, Houthi militants have resorted to sabotage, reportedly mining and detonating culverts along the Airim-Najd Damran road. This destruction occurred in the Al-Qubaytah and Kirsh regions as government forces neared full control over the strategic Damran fronts.

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Tuesday the destruction of a ballistic missile launch platform in Sanaa and a storage facility in Saada containing approximately 20 ballistic missiles, marking a significant escalation in efforts to neutralize Houthi military capabilities.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the coalition conducted precision strikes against the launch site in the Houthi-controlled capital of Sanaa, while simultaneously targeting a mountain depot in Saada, the militant group’s northern stronghold. The coalition released aerial footage documenting the successful strike and the subsequent secondary explosions triggered by the destruction of the missile cache.

These operations follow a series of military actions announced by coalition spokesperson Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, who confirmed that naval forces had engaged Houthi military installations in the western province of Hodeidah. The naval operation successfully destroyed warehouses containing weaponized boats and sea mines, effectively preempting planned attacks against international shipping lanes in the southern Red Sea.

General Al-Maliki emphasized that the maritime intervention was critical to safeguarding navigation through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a vital global maritime artery. The coalition’s sustained aerial and naval campaign aims to disrupt the Houthi supply chain and prevent further regional destabilization.

The intensification of these strikes coincides with a broader military escalation across Yemen. Following the Yemeni government's announcement on Sunday of a new offensive to reclaim territory held by Houthi insurgents, coalition forces have increased the frequency of air sorties targeting strategic assets in Sanaa, Saada, and other contested regions.

Major General Abdulrahman Al-Lahji, Chief of Staff of the Nation Shield Forces, has issued a direct appeal to parents living in Houthi-controlled territories, urging them to prevent their children from being recruited into active combat zones.

In a recorded message, Al-Lahji warned families against allowing the Houthi militia to exploit the vulnerability of Yemeni youth through ideological indoctrination. He emphasized that the militia’s actions are directed against the Yemeni people rather than any external adversaries, asserting that the conflict is fundamentally an internal assault on the nation's future.

Al-Lahji further stated that the youth of Yemen deserve access to education and gainful employment, noting that the country requires their participation in reconstruction and development rather than their sacrifice on the battlefield. He underscored the importance of keeping these young individuals alive and productive for the sake of the nation’s long-term stability.

In addition to his address to the public, Al-Lahji issued formal directives to his forces regarding the humane treatment of prisoners of war. He mandated strict adherence to religious, ethical, and legal standards, ensuring that all military operations and interactions with detainees remain consistent with international humanitarian principles.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have officially initiated a strategic offensive aimed at reclaiming the capital, Sana'a, as part of the newly launched "Dawn of Yemen" military operation, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing campaign against Houthi insurgent forces.

The military coalition supporting the Yemeni government confirmed that the operation involves the deployment of 100 combat aircraft. According to official reports, coalition forces have successfully neutralized 324 high-value targets since the onset of the campaign. The coalition maintains continuous air support for ground operations while simultaneously ensuring the security of the strategically vital Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

On the domestic front, government forces have launched a broad offensive against Houthi positions in the Harad district of Hajjah Governorate. This push is complemented by intensified military maneuvers across multiple fronts in Taiz Governorate, where government troops have reported significant territorial gains.

Military sources indicated that government forces have advanced in the Jabal Habashi front, located west of Taiz. The ensuing intense combat resulted in the destruction of several Houthi military vehicles and the capture of multiple insurgent combatants.

The "Dawn of Yemen" operation is explicitly designed to dismantle the Houthi insurgency, restore state institutions, and liberate Sana'a from militia control. Military operations remain ongoing across various axes as part of a comprehensive effort to re-establish sovereign authority over territories currently held by the Houthi forces.

Houthi militia forces have launched a series of raids and abductions targeting the homes of civilians and military personnel in Al-Makha and its surrounding rural areas in western Taiz Governorate over the past two days.

Local sources reported that militia elements forcibly entered several residences in the city, including the home of Saeed Suleiman Abadi in the Al-Maghini neighborhood, which was stormed on Sunday evening. The operations extended to the Al-Zahari sub-district, where multiple individuals were abducted and taken to undisclosed locations, leaving their families in distress regarding their safety and whereabouts.

The raids involved the participation of Houthi-affiliated female units, who assisted in the search and seizure operations. This campaign is part of a broader security crackdown directed at both civilians and military figures within the city and its outskirts.

These actions represent a continuation of the systematic violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia since they seized control of the region last month. Human rights reports and official documentation indicate a pattern of extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detentions, property looting, and the forced imposition of levies on the local population.

The ongoing intimidation tactics have heightened anxiety among the residents of Al-Makha. The militia continues to tighten its security grip, conducting persistent surveillance and pursuit of individuals while withholding information concerning the status of detainees or the specific charges brought against them.

A military source confirmed that units from the national army, security forces, and popular resistance engaged in intense clashes within the Ash Shamayatayn, Al Mawasit, and Al Ma'afir districts. These operations successfully neutralized insurgent maneuvers and reinforced government defensive and offensive positions throughout the region.

The confrontations resulted in substantial casualties among Houthi ranks, with reports of numerous fatalities and injuries. The losses were attributed to a combination of well-executed ambushes, precision sniper fire, drone strikes, and targeted aerial bombardment against militia reinforcements and military movements in various sectors.

In response to these developments, the Armed Forces have elevated their combat readiness across all fronts. This strategic adjustment is part of a broader mandate to reclaim territory currently held by the militias and to systematically restrict their military mobility.

Concluding the statement, the military source commended the resilience of the people of Taiz. The official emphasized that the province remains an insurmountable obstacle to the militias, serving as a critical theater for depleting the group’s resources and countering its destabilizing influence on national security.

Al-Maliki characterized the actions perpetrated by the Houthi militia against civilians—including forced displacement, the weaponization of hunger, child recruitment, and the appropriation of national resources—as severe violations that have significantly exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Yemen over the past several years.

Addressing regional security concerns, Al-Maliki noted that ongoing attempts by the Houthi militia to target Saudi Arabian territory, alongside threats posed to maritime traffic in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, necessitate continued defensive measures to deter aggression and safeguard the Kingdom’s national security.

The spokesperson emphasized Saudi Arabia's inherent right to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens and residents, reiterating that the Coalition remains steadfast in its support for the Yemeni state until full stability and institutional integrity are restored.

Furthermore, Al-Maliki underscored the critical link between the security of maritime navigation in the Red Sea and broader international stability. He stated that threats to shipping lanes in the region pose a direct risk to global trade and the economic interests of the international community.

President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, announced on Sunday the commencement of military operations aimed at reclaiming territory held by Houthi militias and restoring the full authority of the Yemeni state.

In an address to the nation, Al-Alimi confirmed the transition from a period of preparation to active engagement, noting that all opportunities for de-escalation have been exhausted. He directed the armed forces, security services, and all military formations to execute their mandates according to established strategic plans to liberate the country from Houthi control. The President emphasized that this decision followed a period of restraint, during which the militias continued to mobilize, escalate hostilities, and threaten civilians, national infrastructure, regional neighbors, and international shipping lanes.

Al-Alimi clarified that these operations are not directed against the populations of specific governorates, nor are they a conflict against any sect or tribe. Rather, he characterized the offensive as a necessary battle for the state to protect its citizens and reclaim its institutions. He urged civilians in Houthi-controlled areas to avoid military sites and supply routes, while reiterating the state’s commitment to an amnesty for those who lay down their arms and cease fighting for the militias.

The President ordered military and security forces to strictly adhere to the rule of law and prioritize the protection of civilians and private property. He stressed that the objective extends beyond territorial control to the reactivation of state institutions and the restoration of essential services. In parallel, the government has been tasked with launching an immediate recovery program for liberated areas, which includes the payment of overdue public sector salaries, the rehabilitation of critical infrastructure such as water and power grids, and the facilitation of the safe return of displaced persons.

Concluding his address, Al-Alimi expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its ongoing support of Yemen’s national institutions. He called upon the international community to stand with the Yemeni government in its efforts to restore stability and sovereignty. The President affirmed that all military, security, and civil institutions remain on high alert until the objective of re-establishing state authority and the rule of law is fully achieved.
